Actos Lawsuit - Actos Bladder Cancer Lawyer

Actos, also known as Pioglitazone, is used to treat type 2 diabetes in some individuals. It increases the body's sensitivity to insulin and helps control blood sugar levels. It is not used to treat individuals who have type 1 diabetes. Taking Actos has risks not originally known by all those who took it. Recently the FDA issued a warning that those who take Actos are at an increased risk for bladder cancer. The FDA issued this warning after a 5 year study that showed the longer that an individual takes this drug, the more at risk they are for getting bladder cancer. It was also shown that the risk for bladder cancer increases the higher the dose of Actos that is taken. In some cases this cancer can become deadly.

What Are The Symptoms Of Bladder Cancer?

If you or a loved one have taken Actos, it's important to be aware of the symptoms of bladder cancer. There are many symptoms of bladder cancer, including bloody urine, pain while urinating, frequent urination with only a small amount of urine being released, and pain in both the lower back and abdomen. Several other medications are being investigated for increased risk of bladder cancer including Duetact and Actoplus Met XR. If you have taken any of these drugs then you may be entitled to receive some sort of compensation.
